The facebook article was interesting, because I have thought that the advancements of the internet and other technology have hampered the ability of individuals and specifically young-adults and kids, to effectively communicate face-to-face. I think that people are not as friendly as they used to be and do not care about meeting people outside of their personal facebook or myspace pages.
I LOVE my IPOD, but I think that IPOD’s have been the single biggest factor in people become headphones-hermits. I cannot believe how many people walk across campus with their friends, but rather than talking to their friend, they listen to their IPOD’s with their hip headphones, and don’t speak a word.
Congress is a big TOOL SHED.
